Poem 2: Just Breathe

It may get difficult

To walk the path of life

And to feel as though

You’re walking in circles.

Just breathe.

Life may get you down

It may try to make you quit

And feel worthless

To make you give up.

Just breathe.

The world will try its best

Trying to make sure

That you’re spirit

Is truly broken and gone.

Just breathe.

But you don’t need to listen

To life’s cruel words

You can show the world

Your courage and strength.

Just breathe.

Make your own fate

What your life is

And all that it means

Is up to no one but you.

Stand tall, and breathe.

Poem 1: The Storm

The stars begin to blink into view

While a harsh, salty wind blows.

The temperature drops.

The full moon glows in the sky

And illuminates the peaks of untamed waves.

The loud rushing

Of the immense waves crashing upon the shore

That pull your ankles towards the open sea.

The stars flicker

As they begin to disappear one-by-one

Behind the gloomy, fast clouds.

A threatening clap of thunder echoes from above

To cry a warning of the storm to come.
